Who am I?

That is a great question!

My name is Joshua Lambrose, a native Utahan with Filipino roots, born some twenty years ago. Throughout these twenty years, I've been fascinated by the power of communication through design and the internet. I have created websites as a hobby for over five years. Being both a Graphic and Web Designer, I can create clear and efficient logos for print, web, and broadcast.

My obsession with the powerful, communicating language of the internet began in 2004, where I wrote my first line of HTML in high school. I base my designs on the intention of creating a message that is clear, concise, and ready to be immediately understood by everyone. Web design has the ability to bring people in and spread information out that has never been seen before in any technology on this earth. In my own time, I have studied CSS, XML, JavaScript, and AJAX to further my skills in building innovative and interactive designs. I also have several years of experience in Flash and motion graphics.

When not working or freelancing, I spend my time studying. Keeping up with new technologies and trends in the market may be tough, but it is a constant inspiration to see what new possibilities code and design can bring!

Besides being well-versed in my personal talents, I am also experienced as a project manager. From a young age, I set up a small group of flash animators for collaborations on music videos, short stories, and experimental animations. Since our founding in 2006, we have gained a thorough understanding of working as a team, communicating to reach goals, and complete award-winning animations in an efficient and timely manner, some of which have even gone on to festivals!

Currently, my goal is to find a steady amount of work, so I can eventually make my way to finishing a degree in graphic design. My future goal is to ultimately found a green graphic design firm, specializing in the production of print and web design based on, and run by clean, renewable energy. I don't claim to be an "expert" (yet!); rather, I'm a student of an ever-evolving network of the imaginative media of communication. The latest and most innovative ideas for this generation are just around the corner, but I won't wait for them to come to me—I'd rather meet them there!
